WaterRower M1 LoRise
M1 LoRise WaterRower (Aluminium)
The WaterRower M1 LoRise is made from a sturday powder coated tubular aluminium frame with the same components used throughout the Waterrower range. The LoRise aspect refers to the height of the legs being the standard waterrower height compared to the HiRise version with extended legs.

Review of the Aluminium WaterRower M1 LoRise
The M1 WaterRower has sold in greater numbers into the commercial gym and leisure industry than the wooden waterrower models quite simply because it fits in with the rest of the gym equipment design, style and colouring and it's a bit more resilliant to the knocks and abuse of a 24/7 gym. That said, we've also sold a number of WaterRower M1 models into the domestic market for the same reasons but by far the vast majority of home users go for one of the wooden waterrowers but having a wide choice is one of the great appeals of the WaterRower rowing machines.
HiRise or LoRise? this is a question we're often asked and my answer would come down to something a customer bought up when trying the waterrower in our shop. He informed me that he's had a hip operation and found the regular height WaterRowers were a shade too low for him to comfortable get down to whereas the HiRise rower didn't give any such problems so for most users the LoRise model is perfect but the more elderly user might want to look to the HiRise model if drawn towards the M1 styling.
SmartRow Upgrade - When the WaterRower SmartRow was launched it was only available for wooden framed rowers but now it can also be fitted to the M1 rower simply by ordering the unit with an M1 fitting bracket which adds a very small additional cost onto the SmartRow option (see available accessories)
Being tubular aluminium the frame of the M1 is more likely to transfer and in some cases amplify sound from the rower but having installed a number of these rowers there's certainly not significant difference but the solid wood frames eliminate the chance of audible higher frequency sounds.
