The Oak WaterRower or "WaterRower Oak" to give it its proper name is made in America from sustainable wood sources and is one of the newer woods in the WaterRower range. As expected The WaterRower Oak is packaged with the S4 Performance Workout Monitor providing an elite competition level of training and performance feedback yet ultimately simple to use if you just want to Row & Go.

Review of the American Oak Wood WaterRower
The WaterRower Oak with S4 Performance Workout Monitor is as its name suggests, made in America from premium oak wood finished with a Danish oil protective coat that seals the wood bringing up and enhancing the natural grain of the rower and protects it from day to day gym life.
The Oak WaterRower shares all of the same standard features of the rest of the WaterRower range but bears an uncanny resemblance to the the British Rowing affiliated "British Rowing WaterRower" which too is made from oak but proudly displays the British Rowing Logo. The price is the same so if you want the very best Oak rower to match perhaps your oak furniture, floor or... Oak treadmill, Oak bike and Oak wall-bars from NOHrD but without the British Rowing branding then this is the WaterRower for you.
If you've read other reviews of the WaterRower range you'll already know that the Series 4 Performance Workout Monitor packs a punch when it comes to feedback and training data, yet in the last few years this has been significantly enhanced with the creation of the WaterRower Bluetooth ComModule that allows enables bluetooth connectivity between S4 Performance Monitor and phone, laptop etc running the WaterRower app.
All WaterRowers are ideal for family use with no adjustment required for resistance regardless of age or ability. Add to that the virtually zero maintenance and the extremely low noise (compared to air/fan rowers), the amazing UK support, accessories and; should you ever need them; spare parts and there really is nothing on the market that comes close.
The WaterRower SmartMonitor and tablet/phone holders as featured as standard on the WaterRower Performance Ergometer are both available as an add-on option for all of the wooden WaterRower (Excluding the A1 Studio) but this is a DIY option rather than a factory fitted option.

HOME FITNESS
The WaterRower Oak Wood Rowing Machine just like the other WaterRowers in the range, suitable for full commercial use although the powder-coated WaterRower M1 Lo/HiRise would generally look more at home in a commercial gym, certainly in the UK at least the styling is perfect for the home gym, lounge or bedroom. Having a full commercial rating and warranty does of course remind us that this isn't a typical home fitness machine, it's built to survive the punishment of a commercial gym so for the home user or professional athlete that demands and needs top level gym equipment we're happy to put any of the WaterRower range on the podium
SHOW AND ROW
If you've had a particularly hard or stressful day there is no better way to create a state of wellbeing than to spen 30 or 40 minutes on a rower. Set a distance or duration and go-row. Exercise that makes you sweat also releases endorphins which is our natural happy-high. This and post exercise induce relaxation will ensure a good nights sleep and have you ready to fight another day'
